For type designers of all levels: get up to par with the latest tech in two intensive Glyphs workshop days, powered by READSEARCH institute.

Participants receive an extended trial license and can purchase their own full license at a discount.

COVID-19 measures: participants must present proof that they either fully vaccinated or recovered within the past six months. All presenters are fully vaccinated.

Day 1. Building variable fonts

  • Advanced creation techniques: efficiently managing multiple masters from the start, advanced tools for a smooth workflow
  • Advanced post-processing and testing: build, test and improve your OTVAR, understand name, STAT and fvar tables

Day 2. Python intro

  • Coding basics: variables, loops, if-then clauses
  • Series of mini tasks within Glyphs: test your paths, move shapes, change font info, add shapes
