6-day workshop

‘We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming Tipo Brda workshop in the form of a 6 days long type camp, where you will have the opportunity to expand your type design and lettering skills.’

A short lecture/demonstration in the morning, individual work during the day and group consultations in afternoons.

Participants will have the chance to experiment with various calligraphic styles, including cursive, gothic, and roman capital, as they learn the techniques needed to create personalized calligraphic signs. During the workshop, attendees will receive guidance and instruction from experienced calligrapher who will help them refine their skills and develop their own unique style. From mastering the basic strokes to creating more complex compositions, you will leave the workshop feeling confident and inspired to continue your calligraphic journey.

Whether you are a beginner looking to explore a new callipgrahic skill or a seasoned calligrapher seeking to expand your repertoire, this workshop is sure to offer something for everyone. Join us for a week of creativity, enjoyment, and of course, relaxation in nature.

For Whom?

Usual crew consist of graphic design/typography/architecture students and sometimes other people interested in designing typefaces. We expect some basic experience with typography or higher interest. Of course, you are welcome with your own ideas and sketches you want to explore further on. Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your spot.

How Much?

The workshop fee is 480€ regular / 430€ students and 430€ early birds / 390 early bird student. In case of cancellation we keep 30 % as administrative costs. The workshop fee includes accommodation (sleeping in a shared dorm), meals, and needed materials.

Prerequisites

Grab black fineliners, markers, pencils, pens, cutter, white-out, ruler, a sketchbook, … basically the gear you rely on most. The workshop organizers will provide other stationery along with already mentioned extra tools.
